Great variety of observational ski tour routes in 7-day program for people who choose light equipment, easy descents with steepness less than 30. The length or routes is from 10 to 30 km. vith vertical altitude 300-800 m. through the main mountain chains around of Kirovsk. Also you'll have 3 nights in mountain hut "Ramzay-sever" in the center of Khibiny. The most far routes suppose using a snowmobiles for luggage transfer.

Main concept of program - fast and light. Long everyday routes in small group of cheerful skiers, adequacy, environmental friendliness and getting fun in all conditions!

Professional level of participants and rules of group forming

 

The program supposes confident skiers and skilful splitboarders who have

an experience in off-piste skiing and ski-tour.

 

The number of participants is limited. 5 clients + 1 guide.

 

A level of participant considered sufficient if it’s easy for him:

• make a descents in own temp, without falls and stops

• make a 10-20 km walk or ski-tour in average speed

Program

 

First day - meeting at ski resort, introductory training, equipment check,

easy ski-tour route and avalanche training.

​

Another 6 days - different routes with length from 10 to 30 km, vertical

altitude 300-800 m., steepness less than 30, easy relief. The itineraries

will be corrected every day according to the weather and snow conditions.

Some of routes will have start and end point in Kirovsk. You can choose

hotel according to your requires. Another routes will start from the center

of Khibiny mountains in 20 km. from Kirovsk. Mountain hut "Ramzay-sever"

has different rooms for 3-6 persons, hot shower, breakfasts and dinners, 

bed linen. Everything to have a good rest after route. Additionally you can

order a sauna. Heavy things will be transfered to the hut with snowmobile,

so you'll make all routes with light backpacks.

Completed CAA Avalanche Operation Level 1, Ski Guide Course,

Alpine Skills Course in RMGA according to international standarts.

Sergey organizes freeride and ski-tour programs from December till June.

​

Sergey was born in Kirovsk, began skiing at age three. Trained in ski school.

Multiple champion of Freeride Khibiny Open Cup. Goes skiing a lot and

with pleasure. Wrote the «Khibiny freeride guidebook» and put it in free

access on this website. 

 

His interests - beautiful and complex lines, extreme photography.

Accommodation in Kirovsk, transfer to Kirovsk from airport/railway station

and meals in Kirovsk are not included

To book a ski-tour week "Khibiny Discovery" you should fill the form and

pay 150 EUR deposit. Rest of it - in first day of program. We'll return a

deposit if you'll tell us put your refusal not later than 2 months before

program beginning.
